Cardboard is the predominant source of packaging worldwide and makes up an average of twenty-five percent of household waste annually.  It is therefore exceedingly important that we, the consumer, make every effort to recycle or upcycle it as opposed to just turfing it to be used as landfill.

As cardboard is biodegradable, it produces Methane as it is breaking down - a greenhouse gas which is a major contributor to global warming.  So by upcycling it, we save both space and assist in preventing harmful emissions into our atmosphere.
