Upcycle teambuilding – even junk deserves a second chance

 

Through our experience in the recycling world and our experiences with our sister company, Crafty Corner, Upcycle has taken the initiative and is proud to offer green, environmentally friendly teambuilding events to suit any company or occasion.

 

There are many ways to teach staff members about recycling – we take it a step further by turning this into a fun and interactive teambuilding event.

 

Our initiative is to provide affordable and effective teambuilding events that reinforce staff relationships and force interaction in a positive atmosphere without work or personal pressure – instilling a sense of reliance, cooperation and understanding within the organizational structure of the company.

 

Why not make statues from office waste?  Teams can beg, borrow or barter different items to find just the right piece of junk to top off their statue!

 

Staff can also create stunning and practical, super low-maintenance gardens for their desk, or hang them up on the smoker’s balcony to absorb excess carbon dioxide.

 

There are so many crafts we can teach utilizing junk, how about making a beautiful mosaic picture frame from old CD boxes and random bits of junk, or making practical storage shelving from old boxes?  We could even teach them how to make keyrings or dustbins from old computer keyboards, or they could help each other make notepads from wastepaper.

 

The possibilities are endless, and having an extensive network of crafters, tutors and performing artists to call upon, we are able to provide a fun-filled and entertaining event with effective and long lasting benefits.

 

With the right amount of planning (and permission!), it is even possible for staff members to create their very own organic garden on the building roof, or they could help establish herb and vegetable gardens in needy communities, killing two birds with one stone – teambuilding and social responsibility!
